The Boer War

This is the story of a forgotten and unsung hero of an ancient war, the so-called “Boer War”  of the very start of the twentieth century. The Boer War was a war of conquest and intimidation waged by the what was then the greatest power on Earth, the British Empire, against the tiny statelet of the Dutch-speaking farmers and Trekkers, known as the Boers, in what is today the Republic of South Africa. The accompanying maps show the location of the conflict.
